Albert Pla was born in Sabadell in 1966. In 1988, he won the award for Best Performer and Song at the 4th Singer-Songwriter Festival in Jaén. A year later, he released his first album: Ho Sento Molt. His third album, No sólo de rumba vive el hombre (1992), is considered one of the best Spanish albums of the 1990s. Among his subsequent albums are Supone Fonollosa (1995), Veintegenarios en Alburquerque (1997 ), and Cançons d'amor i droga (2003).
