Amalia Iglesias Serna She has dedicated more than thirty years to poetry, print journalism, and cultural management (El Correo Español, "Culturas" in Diario 16, ABC, etc.). For fifteen years, from its inception in 1996, she was editor-in-chief of Revista de Libros. For the past ten years, she has contributed to Revista de Occidente, where she was recently (2022) appointed managing editor.

A graduate in Hispanic Philology from the University of Deusto, she has been writing poetry since a young age. Among her books of poems are: Un lugar para el fuego (Rialp, 1985), which won the Adonais Prize in 1984; Memorial de Amauta (Endymion, 1988), winner of the Alonso de Ercilla Prize from the Basque Government in 1987; the chapbook Mar en sombra (Málaga, 1989); Dados y dudas (Pre-Textos, 1996), runner-up for the Jaime Gil de Biedma Prize in 1995; Lázaro se sacude las ortigas (Abada, 2005), winner of the Villa de Madrid "Francisco de Quevedo" Prize in 2006; La sed del río (Reino de Cordelia, 2016), winner of the Ciudad de Salamanca Prize in 2015; and Tótem espantapájaros (Abada, 2016).

Her poems have also appeared in anthologies such as *Las diosas blancas* (Hiperión, 1985) and *Ellas tienen la palabra* (Hiperión, 1997). She prepared the edition of *Algunos lugares de la pintura* by María Zambrano (Espasa Calpe, 1999), whom she knew personally and with whom she spent time during her final years. She has edited several anthologies of other authors, including *Poetas en blanco y negro* (Abada, 2006), *Sombras di-versas* (Vaso Roto, 20179), and *A poema abierto* (Universidad de Salamanca, 2021). She recently edited the collected poems of Juan Barja for Abada. Her book of poems, *Leer da tiempo*, will be published soon.
