Aneta Grzeszykowska
Aneta Grzeszykowska lives and works in Warsaw. She has recently participated in exhibitions at the Venice Biennale and the Francisco Carolinum Museum in Linz , and her works are part of the collections of museums such as the Guggenheim in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Centre Pompidou in Paris , and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. With her political and critical approach to artistic creation, she has developed a multifaceted and radical style of self-portraiture throughout her career, literally inserting herself into the history of feminist art by subtly incorporating her own image into the works of artists such as Ana Mendieta, Francesca Woodman, and Theresa Hak Kyung Cha.
