Begoña Olavide She is an artist with a broad musical interest. She holds advanced degrees in music, specializing in flute, and also has training in percussion and flamenco dance. She has developed a special technique for the psaltery, an instrument for which she has also founded her own school with luthier Carlos Paniagua. During her time in Morocco, between 2005 and 2012, she delved into Andalusian music and song. She is the artistic director of the Tarab Tangier World Music Festival. She has performed concerts worldwide and worked in film and theater (Adolfo Marsillach, Carlos Saura, José María Forqué). She is the founder of the groups Cálamus and Mudéjar. She has released eight albums of her own and has participated in recordings and concerts with prestigious orchestras, groups, and soloists (Spanish National Orchestra, Hesperion XXI, Jordi Savall, Montserrat Figueras, Luis Delgado, Luis Paniagua).
