Cristina García Rodero

Cristina García Rodero is a photographer Spanish, International, renowned for her photographs of parties y rites traditional and contemporary. Initially, his work focused on rural Spain, as reflected in his book Hidden Spain (1989), and later expanded to portray other realities around the world. In 1983 he began his career as a teacher, giving classes in photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2005, she joined the photojournalism agency Magnum 

In 2013, she was elected a full member of the New Image Arts Section of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. In 2023, the documentary film C premiered.Cristina García Rodero: The Hidden Gazeby Carlota Nelson. In 2018, the Cristina García Rodero Museum was inaugurated in her hometown, Puertollano (Ciudad Real ), which houses various works from García Rodero's more than 40-year career as an artist. This year he received the Ortega y Gasset Award for his career achievements.
