A Madrid-based composer and creative technologist, Álvaro combines code, music, and video mapping to create immersive experiences—from automated church organs to his post-metal band, cute::wire. As a lecturer in interactive media at the University of York, UK, he has conducted research for the BBC, ICLC, and the European Researchers' Night. Álvaro has also been active in the Los Angeles experimental music scene. With shows in six countries, he has collaborated with Andy Vargas, 011668, SoundPedro, Nicki Chen, and LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER, among other festivals and institutions. His soundtrack for "Molokhiya" was selected for the NewFilmmakers LA and Wales One World festivals.
