EDUARDO ÁLVAREZ

He has been a Full Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) since 1994. A graduate in Philosophy from the same university, he earned his doctorate in 1991 with a dissertation on "The Theory of the Concept in Hegel's Philosophy," which received the Extraordinary Doctoral Prize. He teaches Philosophical Anthropology, as well as doctoral courses and specialized courses on the tradition of dialectical thought (Hegel, Marx, Adorno), the question of the subject, the debate on humanism, modernity, and the individual. His publications include: Human Knowledge: An Introduction to Hegel's Thought y The theory of the concept in Hegel's philosophy.
