Eva Lootz

Eva Lootz (Austria, 1940) holds a degree in Film and Television Directing. She also received training in Fine Arts, Philosophy, and Musicology in Vienna. In 1965, she moved to Spain, where she developed most of her artistic work, characterized by a close relationship with nature and the symbolic use of materials in various installations, as well as a marked interest in the interaction between matter and language.

Her artistic work has been recognized on numerous occasions. She has received, among others, the National Prize for Visual Arts (1994), the Tomás Francisco Prieto Prize from the Royal Mint (2009), and the MAV Prize for Women in the Visual Arts (2010). She has also participated in the following exhibitions: Metal (Madrid, 1983), Night, they said.
