Marián López Fdz. Cao

Marián López Fdz. Cao She is a professor of Art Education and Art Therapy at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). An art therapist, she is the founder of the Master's program in Art Therapy at the Complutense University of Madrid. She has been the director of InstiFem, a doctoral program in Art, Art Therapy, and Social Inclusion, and president of MAV. She has coordinated Latin American university programs. She has directed several European research projects, including POWER, Gender, Power, and Empowerment through Art; DiverCity, Exploring Diversity in Museums and the City; ARIADNE, Art and Intercultural Integration; and MUSYGEN, on Gender and Museums. She is Vice-President of ECARTE, the European Consortium of Arts Therapies Education; a member of Wilpf Women International League for Peace and Freedom; and MAV, Women in the Visual Arts, among others. She received the 2017 First Prize for Transfer in Social Sciences and Humanities, the 2015 Prize for Humanization in Hospitals, and coordinates the art education collection. Possibilities of being through art In 2010, she received the Rosa Regás Award for materials with co-educational value. As an artist, she works independently, focusing on her relationship with nature through artist's books.
