Martha Sanz (Madrid, 1967) is a writer. She holds a PhD in Contemporary Literature from the Complutense University of Madrid. In addition to her work as a novelist, she has written short stories, poetry, and essays. She has won the Ojo Crítico Narrative Prize with The best times, finalist for the Nadal Prize in 2006 with Susana and the old people and winner of the NH Vargas Llosa Short Story Prize. She is the author of the novel A good detective never gets married (2012), published by Anagrama, and the poetry collection Lying Bitch - Hardcore Barthelby (2010). As an editor, she has directed the anthologies Metalinguistic and sentimental: anthology of Spanish poetry (1966-2000) y 50 Poets Towards the New Century and Book of the Femme Fatale (2009).
