Michelle Cometa
Michele Cometa (Palermo, 1959) studied Germanic literature and philosophy at the universities of Palermo and Cologne. He has taught at the universities of Düsseldorf, Catania, Cosenza, and Cagliari. He is currently Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Palermo. From 1998 to 2001, he chaired the Master's Program in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Palermo. He has served as Director of the Department of Art and Communication at the University of Palermo. He has also recently been appointed President of the Faculty of Education Sciences at the same university. He has published several books on German and European culture from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Furthermore, he has promoted the publication in Italy of authors such as Goethe, Schiller, and Jünger.
