Ramon Maria del Valle-Inclan

Ramon Maria del Valle-Inclan (1866-1936) is one of the key authors in the history of Spanish literature. He was a playwright, poet, novelist, and essayist. He belongs to the Modernist literary movement and is closely associated with the Generation of '98, although his work possesses such innovative power that it defies categorization. His widely published and studied plays include the legendary Barbaric comedies: Eagle of heraldry, Romance of wolves and Silverface, as well as the world-renowned Divine words y Bohemian lights, and the highly acclaimed grotesques of Shrove Tuesday: The Deceased's Finery, The Captain's Daughter y Don Friolera's horns.
