Rogelio Abraldes

Rogelio Abraldes He holds a degree in Art History from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Between 1986 and 1989, he studied History and Aesthetics of Cinematography at the University of Valladolid. In 1993, he received a scholarship to study Film at the University of Southern California (Los Angeles). During his time in the US, his work was recognized with several awards, including the Eastman Kodak Award and an honorable mention from the American Society of Cinematographers.

He has worked as a cameraman on numerous music documentaries and cultural programs and documentaries for TVE2, Cuatro, and National Geographic Channel. In 2008, he made his directorial debut with the feature film Divers surfing, a documentary about Surfin' Bichos.
