Re:Create Europe, a European project co-financed by the Creative Europe programme of which el Círculo It's part of [the organization], has just opened four international residencies and a series of webinars designed for you. This year's theme: Transformation of Cultural PoliciesIt proposes an exploration of the role of artistic practices in times of political change, with attention to cultural resilience, artistic autonomy, and civic engagement.

The 2026 residencies will take place in:

• Săcel and Bucharest, Romania: Rhythms of Continuity | August 1–24
• Berlin Germany: The Art of Resistance and Resilience | September 23–30
• Valletta, Malta:  Malta, the Mediterranean and beyond | October 6–12
• Burgas, Bulgaria: Tide Lines: Art, Freedom and Resilience in the Black Sea | October 18–31

Each residency can be requested independently, but we encourage you to combine a residency with the webinar series.

webinar cycle | September–December 2026

A series of 10 online sessions of 90 minutes each, open to 30 participants, focusing on cultural and institutional policies, civil society, civic engagement, and strategies of resistance and resilience.

Atlas of Resilience

All participants, both in the residencies and in the webinars, will be able to contribute to Atlas of Resilience (working title), a digital platform that will document how artists and cultural professionals across Europe respond to threats to artistic freedom, through videos, texts, interviews, and creative works. The Atlas will be published in November 2026 and will be expanded in the coming years.
