In a decades-long investigation, writer and actor Hanns Zischler (In the Course of Time, Wim Wenders; Rendez-vous d'Anna, Chantal Akerman; The Left-Handed Woman, Peter Handke) dissected Kafka's texts to explore which cinemas he visited and which films, scenes, and actors impressed the Czech author. At the same time, Zischler's book is a magical journey to the origins of cinema. Círculo de Bellas ArtesIn collaboration with the Goethe-Institut, the organization is hosting a mini-series and a discussion with Zischler moderated by Santiago Rubín de Celis (Goethe-Institut, October 22) based on the book about Kafka's relationship with cinema, translated into Spanish a few years ago by the publisher Minúscula. Hanns Zischler will present the session on October 23.
