In this first "Off-Schedule" session of La Noche Bizarra, we celebrate the great Michele Soavi, who began his career as an assistant director to Dario Argento and went on to direct some of the best Italian fantasy films of the late 80s and early 90s. In this session, we present The Sect (1991), co-written and produced by Dario Argento, in a magnificent 2K restoration of the director's cut. Hippies, satanic rituals, conspiracies, and hints of Rosemary's Baby permeate this film in which a primary school teacher becomes the target of a cult after discovering a secret well in her basement.
