May '68: Mexico and Spain
The Mexican cinema meticulously documented the student and popular uprising of '68 and the demand for a different world, establishing itself as a form of expressive and counter-informational protest. Following this same spirit, independent and underground cinema in Spain sought to approach the country's reality, embedded as it was in a long dictatorship. Presentation and discussion with Xose Prieto Souto (Carlos III University, Madrid) on the 16th.
Organized by UNAM-Spain, UNAM Film Archive, Cervantes Institute, Film Archive of Catalonia and CBA
