From 2017 to 2023, German filmmaker Rudij Bergmann accompanied artist André Butzer on numerous occasions, documenting his solo exhibitions in Berlin, Madrid, New York, Los Angeles and Paris, and joining the painter in his studio or on mountain walks. 

 

The result is a documentary that premiered at the museum on October 6, 2022, followed by a discussion between its director, Rudij Bergmann, the film's producer, Clara Freund, and the museum's artistic director, Guillermo Solana. The film is a testament to Butzer's artistic vision, featuring contributions from collectors, gallery owners, friends, and family, offering a stunning insight into his thinking and painting practice while also revealing him as a person.
