About the film
Long ago, Ashik, from a humble family, became a wandering minstrel after his beloved's father, a wealthy Turkish merchant from the city of Tbilisi, refused to consent to their marriage. He began to wander the land for a thousand and one nights in search of fortune, while she waited for him, having promised not to marry in his absence.
