Carl needs to get his job back in the railroad industry. To do this, he enlists the help of his wife, Vicky. Vicky manages to get him reinstated, but Carl can't stop thinking about the price his wife paid: driven mad by jealousy, he murders Owens. Later, Vicky implicates a train driver in the murder.
