We closed the film sessions of the City and Science Biennial in our Cine Estudio The event will begin with a screening of the documentary Nuclear Now. Following the screening, a lively debate will take place, weaving together nuclear physics and bioethics. Nuclear Now makes a direct case for nuclear energy as one of the few viable alternatives for addressing the global climate crisis. The debate will explore key questions: How does quantum physics (the theoretical basis of nuclear fission) connect to current energy challenges? What role does science play in political and environmental decision-making? How can film transform the public perception of a highly politicized technology? The discussion will explore whether an ethical, aesthetic, and scientific narrative of nuclear power is possible in the 21st century. In this era of urgent decisions, we also need new ways of seeing.

The screening of this documentary is presented in collaboration with #LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival.
