In a working-class neighborhood of Athens, eleven-year-old Vuola and her five-year-old brother Alexandros dream every night of going in search of their father, who supposedly lives in Germany. One day, the two children decide to embark on this great journey, a voyage that will be full of experiences and in which the little ones will learn about good and evil, joy and sorrow.
