Seventeen-year-old Lea spends her summer vacation with no plans other than sunbathing with her best friend in her backyard, trying to avoid getting involved with her overwhelmed mother's problems and doing drugs with a group of boys from school. This monotony is interrupted by a chance encounter with Tom, an older man who promises an alternative to Lea's unsatisfying teenage life. The young woman falls for Tom's charismatic charm, but he exerts increasing control over her, isolating her from her usual social circle. Lea soon discovers that this man's intentions are not what they seem.
