A young Mexican woman, Maya, leaves her country and enters the United States illegally. She arrives in Los Angeles, where her sister lives and works for a cleaning company. When Maya starts working for her sister, she becomes aware of the precarious working conditions of the immigrant workers. She then meets Sam, a young activist, and with his help, she embarks on a fight for the rights of immigrant workers.
