Darwin's Nightmare (Le cauchemar de Darwin)
In the 60s, in the heart of Africa, a new animal species was introduced into Lake Victoria as a small scientific experiment. The Nile perch proved to be a voracious predator that wiped out all the native species of this gigantic lake. The new fish multiplied rapidly, and today its white fillets are still exported around the world. Cargo planes from the former Soviet Union arrive daily to collect the latest shipments of fish and, in return, unload their cargo: Kalashnikovs and ammunition for the countless wars taking place in the central part of the continent.
