“Termites” returns, renewed, our ongoing series dedicated to showcasing, once a month, filmmakers who work outside the mainstream distribution channels, with screenings followed by discussions. The name comes from Manny Farber’s article “Termite Art vs. White Elephant Art” (1962), where we read about those films that “seem to disdain the culture of tinsel, wrapped in a kind of wasteful beaver enterprise that belongs nowhere and serves no purpose. A peculiar fact about termite/tapeworm/moss art is that it always advances by devouring its own limits, and leaves nothing in its wake but traces of its anxious, laborious, and careless activity.”

This time, we'll see Orandi , the latest film by Serafín Teja, a visual artist, photographer and filmmaker from Asturias, although based in Barcelona.
