It examines avant-garde cinema, silent comedies, Soviet revolutionary films, and reflections on the political situation of the time, and includes a new version of the German Expressionist classic. Metropolis (Fritz Lang, 1927), recently restored by the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau-Stiftung.
