Like a heart It's an artistic bridge between two shores: flamenco on one side, the poetry of American rock on the other. Jackson Browne, Cohen, Dylan, Suzanne Vega, Elliott Murphy, Hank Williams… Their poignant lyricism blends with the depth of our most powerful musical genre: flamenco. The project, spearheaded by the poet Alberto Manzano, which took the form of an album last October, is now being presented live on the stage ofel Círculo de Bellas Artes.

The singers Rocío Bazán, Argentina, Rocío Segura and Paula Domínguez will be accompanied by a solid band made up of Francisco Guisado Rubio (electric, Spanish, acoustic guitar), Mohamed Soulimane (violin, percussion), Moulay Sherif (lute, mandolin, timpani, karkabas, sentir), Jordi Rallo (tablas, cajón, udu), Conrad Setó (keyboards) and Carlos Ródenas (electric bass, double bass).

High-flying artistic fusion, the result of Like a Heart It's a vibrant musical amalgam that blends flamenco and rock, but also jazz, Mediterranean, Indian, and Maghrebi music; a refined encounter between roots music and the great poetry of our time. American rock poets also join forces on this occasion with García Lorca—Cohen's favorite poet—Antonio Machado—Jackson Browne's quintessential poet—and the French poet Jacques Prévert, to inspire a roster of flamenco singers, an eclectic generation capable of artistically navigating all styles and genres.
