Theater: Lorca's Bernarda
Federico García Lorca is talking with a journalist who is writing a report about his life. During this dialogue, scenes from the play he is currently working on come to mind. La casa de Bernarda AlbaThis drama about the lives of women in the villages of Spain shows the stormy relationships between Bernarda and her daughters, disturbed by discipline, jealousy, envy and the absence of freedom.
This production combines theater, dance, and live music, showcasing Lorca's deep engagement with his time, art, poetry, and politics. It is set in the 1930s, the decade in which the Granada-born author wrote The House of Bernarda Alba, Lorca's Bernarda It offers a contemporary vision of the work, based on interviews and texts by Lorca, without losing the essence of his dramaturgy.
