The Frontera Círculo record label was launched in 2009 with the intention of opening the doors of the CBA (Centro de Bellas Artes) to that border and independent music that exists parallel to conventional channels. Since then, the label has evolved towards a more hybrid character and the exceptional nature of its musical offerings, featuring musicians with proven critical acclaim and a more diverse and mainstream audience. This new direction for the label became evident from 2018 onwards, an edition that included the participation of Exquirlathe flamenco singer's project Elche Niño and the instrumental rock band Toundra; the German duo Milky Chanceor the band Birdlinked to blues, swing, and surf. In 2019, the new Frontera Círculo finally consolidated its position with the participation of musicians such as McEnroe o Anni B Sweet.
The proposal for the 2020 edition focuses on international female artists: the Chilean-French rapper Anne Tijoux (17 of October) and Susan Santos (October 10), Spanish guitarist and singer recently awarded at the European Blues Awards.
