Matryoshka. Russian nesting dolls
Image: Ammer Krisztina 2008
A hybrid theater and dance performance that addresses contemporary women's issues from their own perspective. With texts by Carlos Rodero and choreography by Daniela H. Faith, Matruska uses the symbol of Russian nesting dolls as a metaphor for the infinite, intimate layers hidden within the female personality. Everyday frustrations, the search for identity, and emotional imbalances are some of the themes explored in this piece.
