From your living room console or gaming PC to the stage of the Fernando de Rojas Theatre, the Video Game Arts Orchestra (VAO) arrives at Círculo to offer a concert that translates the excitement of video games into the language of symphonic music.

This world premiere brings together leading orchestral musicians from across Europe in a new ensemble dedicated to exploring the expressive power of video game soundtracks. The VAO aims to bridge the gap between diverse audiences—from classical music lovers to the gaming community—to celebrate how music shapes the stories, atmospheres, and emotions that define this contemporary art form.

The program for this first concert is dedicated to the indie universe, with scores from emblematic titles such as Journey, Stardew Valley, GRIS or Undertale, under the direction of James Keirle, founder of the orchestra and also creator of the London Video Game Orchestra.

Far from traditional formats, this proposal invites an immersive experience in which music, narrative and audience participation intertwine to revive the sound worlds of video games live.

James Keirle is an award-winning conductor, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, renowned for his innovative performances that fuse classical music, jazz, Afrobeat, and video game soundtracks. He is the principal conductor of the CIM Benimaclet Symphonic Band (Valencia), founder of the Video Game Arts Orchestra, and conductor of the ECOSC Guernsey Symphony Orchestra. Trained in Manchester, he has collaborated on productions such as Sex Education (Netflix), received several conducting awards in the UK, and released numerous albums with Afrobeat, jazz, and classical ensembles.
