Albert Vila is one of the most outstanding jazz guitarists of his generation. As a preview to his fifth album, he presents in Jazz Círculo a repertoire for trio with Marko Lohikari on double bass and Jonas Burgwinkel on drums.

Vila studied music at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona and at the Amsterdam Conservatory. In 2004, he won first prize at the Dutch Jazz Competition and, the following year, received a scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, where he studied with Rodney Jones, Dave Liebman, and Phil Markowitz, among others.
