Born in the Italian Tyrol 36 years ago, baritone Andrè Schuen has already performed at both the Teatro Real and the Teatro de la Zarzuela, excelling in opera and lieder, a field in which he is beginning to be hailed as one of the most formidable heirs to the great bass voices of recent decades. Accompanied by Daniel Heide, he presents here with The beautiful miller's wifeSchubert's song cycle, with which he is about to make his debut on the Deutsche Grammophon label, features twenty songs set to poems by Wilhelm Müller.
