Antonio Reyes
He belongs to a distinguished flamenco dynasty, being related to Roque Montoya “Jarrito” and Pansequito. In 1982, at just six years old, he made his debut in the town of Ojén, Málaga, and continued with sporadic performances until a year later when he participated in the Flamenco Thursdays organized by guitarist Manuel Morao at the Jerez de la Frontera bullring. This was a decisive step in his precocious artistic career, as from that moment on he began giving his first recitals in flamenco clubs in the province of Cádiz, including the Peña Enrique El Mellizo, the Peña La Bulería in Jerez, the Peña La Perla in Cádiz, and the Peña Juanito Villar. At twelve, he won First Prize in the Mijas Competition (Málaga) in the youth category, and a year later he was a finalist in the prestigious Antonio Mairena Cante Jondo Competition.

In 1991, with the help of the Cordoban guitarist Paco Peña, he undertook numerous tours with the shows Art and passion y Flamenco mass through France, Italy, England, the Netherlands, Greece, Switzerland, and North American cities such as New York, Boston, and Chicago. Another period of his career was spent as a member of Manuel Morao's company and the Gitanos de Jerez, touring numerous cities throughout Spain. In 1998, he performed for three weeks in el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, in a show directed by guitarist Tito Losada, in which he shared the stage with artists such as Antonio Canales, Ramón el Portugués, El Indio Gitano or Guadiana.

In 2000, he won First Prize at the Camarón de la Isla Memorial, held in San Fernando, Cádiz. In 2001, he received Second Prize from the Confederation of Flamenco Clubs of Andalusia at the Gran Teatro de Córdoba, and that same year he was awarded the Antonio Mairena Prize for Siguirillas and Tonás, and the Manolo Caracol Prize for Soleares and Bulerías at the prestigious National Flamenco Art Competition in Córdoba. Following his Córdoba award, he was in demand at the most important festivals in Andalusia: Mairena del Alcor, La Puebla de Cazalla, Gazpacho de Morón, Fiesta de La Parpuja, Los Jueves Flamencos de Cádiz, and others. In 2004, he shared a concert with La Susi at the Seville Biennial entitled From Triana to Chiclana.

He has been accompanied by renowned guitarists such as Manuel Morao, Paco Cepero, Tomatito, Moraíto Chico, Parrilla de Jerez, and especially Antonio Higuero, his regular guitarist from Jerez, with whom he has toured extensively throughout Spain and parts of Europe. In recent years, his activity has been relentless and fruitful: Valladolid Flamenco Festival, Caracolá de Lebrija, Jardines del Valle (Seville Biennial), La Palma de Plata Festival in Algeciras, Viernes Flamencos in Jerez, Jueves Flamencos in Cádiz, a tribute to Chano Lobato at the San Juan Evangelista Jazz Club in Madrid, and the Fiesta de La Parpuja.

His discography consists of Voices of the Cadiz countryside1995; From Jerez to the Ports, 1997; VCajasol Christmas carols, 2007; South wind2009; Live on el Círculo Flamenco from Madrid, 2015, and Let the singing begin, 2020.
