The first album by Jorge Moreno and his big band, Foedus, is Of bears and catsA score in which the trombonist and composer has recovered rhythms, melodies, and instruments from Madrid's almost unknown musical tradition, bringing them into the sound of a 21st-century jazz orchestra. Throughout the ten tracks that make up the album, saxophones, trombones, and trumpets blend with a classic rhythm section of drums, piano, and double bass, but also with synthesizers, tambourines, pans, flutes, sieves, and albogues in a unique sound that aspires to view the world through its connection to the land and its own unique character.

Moreno recovers rhythms, melodies and traditional instruments from Madrid and its province, in some cases practically forgotten, and looks at them with his own eyes, those of jazz and rock, chacarera and classical music, interpreted by a band of almost twenty of the most active and interesting musicians on the current Madrid and national scene.
