La Canalla

La Canalla It was born in 2008 in Barcelona, ​​in a place for exiled musicians called El Albergue. There, the idea of ​​founding a project to update and revitalize popular folklore matured. Its members are: the lyricist Antonio Romera chipicJavier Galiana on keyboards, Julián Sánchez on winds, José Benítez on drums and José López on double bass.

In 2010 they published their debut novel, Flowers and weedsThis album showcases their urban repertoire of contemporary copla songs: tracks with a copla soul set to jazz foundations, seasoned with tangos, boleros, and swing music. Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Tito Alcedo, and Vicky Luna collaborated on this project. Thanks to this album, they gained a foothold in Latin America, participating in the International Singer-Songwriter Festival in Quito, Ecuador.

With their second album, Our everyday barThey embarked on an international tour of more than 60 concerts in Spain and the United States. They have created several shows such as The clandestine port, along with Javier Rubial; The Scoundrels and Friends, in which they share the stage with Pasión Vega, Mariana Cornejo, Jesús Bienvenido and the Chirigota Guatifó; or The Scoundrels and Women, with Silvia Pérez Cruz, Rozalen, Diana Navarro, Chirigóticas and Vicky Luna. Love in crisis It is his latest work.
