The night
Based on the story Light up the nightFrom the American writer Ray Bradbury, this work tells the story of Marco, a boy who doesn't like the night. When the sunlight disappears, Marco locks himself inside his house to play alone, watching the other children playing outside from his window. Light and shadow create the atmosphere for this poetic story, which explores the theme of fear and overcoming it through the discovery of the world and knowledge.
Synopsis
The sky is covered with the black blanket that frightens Marco so much. The boy returns home and, seeing that his father isn't there and that his mother has gone to bed early, he starts to play in the darkness. It is then that he receives a visit from the moon, which allows him to discover the night in all its beauty and splendor: he notices the crickets, the fireflies, the frogs, and the owls, and he sees the brilliance of the stars and the white moon. Marco finally turns off the lights to illuminate the night, to enjoy it, and to be able to go outside and play with the others.
