What you don't see, making the invisible visible
More than a century has passed since the Russian painter Kazimir Malevich revolutionized the art world by painting a white square on a pristine canvas. All painting begins precisely there, on a blank canvas that ultimately reveals a reality with nuances and tones, with depth and emotion. White canvases are also the origin of the exhibition WHAT YOU DON'T SEE.
The artist's paintings Angel Espinosa They are not what they seem. The twelve large-format canvases on display make the invisible visible. They offer a surprising glimpse into a reality that goes unnoticed by most of society and that you can only discover in this unique exhibition on Friday, September 6th at el Círculo de Bellas Artes de MadridArt serves to evoke emotion and also to raise awareness and help us understand reality.
Espinosa, a graphic designer and art director for more than two decades, is a professor of social innovation at the European Institute of Design (IED) and founder of DB Madrid, a design school for people without economic resources.
