The Great River
The Great River. Resistance, rebellion, uprising, revolution It is one of the major projects in programming.el Círculo de Bellas Artes This season, under this title, we will reflect, from multiple perspectives, on the concept of conflictThe program includes debates and conferences, theater, film and this exhibition, the central theme of the project.
The Great River It is an audiovisual project, created and edited specifically for this occasion, that aims to encourage critical reflection on the mechanisms and structures involved in different forms of resistance, rebellion, and revolution. This installation will be projected onto the walls of the Minerva Room, which will also offer visitors a unique map that challenges stereotypes and helps them establish their own positions on issues that have a political and collective dimension, but also a philosophical, artistic, anthropological, and poetic one. The audiovisual piece consists of twenty-one episodes of a historical, thematic, literary, and philosophical nature: a composite of images and texts (images that are read as texts and texts that are seen as images). The Great River It can be viewed in its entirety from this link.
Also, there is a exhibition catalogue, with previously unpublished essays, a broad anthology of texts by authors from different eras, an interactive atlas of hyperlinks and a DVD with the film footage used.
See, think, plan, recompose. The Great River It's our adventure.
