From urban to domestic

MARTA SOUL
SWEET HOME

Sweet Home
It seems to transport us to the ideal of domestic life, where everything works "perfectly": the washing machine washes whiter, the television broadcasts weather reports, the dishwasher takes care of our fine glasses, and the refrigerator overflows with strawberry smoothies. But if we look closely at Marta Soul's work, we realize that perhaps all of that is nothing more than pure appearance: "home sweet home" never existed; it was manufactured to our specifications by the same multinational appliance companies that brought us the washing machine, the television, the dishwasher, and the refrigerator…

JOHN SAINTS
WORDS THAT HOLD ABYSS

The city has become an undeniable artistic and cultural landmark. The urban environment has permeated visual culture and now functions as an aesthetic reference point for representing and questioning society. The project Words that hold abysses It seeks to reflect on the possibilities of photography as an urban intervention. Far from artistic interventions that propose a more or less spectacular physical intervention, the proposal of this work is to intervene in the viewer's gaze, advocating a different perspective on that which usually goes unnoticed.
