With the public presentation of the book Notes for an inventory of Carmen Martín Gaite From the portraitist Lisbeth Salas, the Ministry of Culture, extending the centenary year, culminates a long program of activities with the aim of recognizing one of the key writers of 20th century Spanish narrative, Carmen Martín Gaite.
The day will be organized around two tables, the first will focus on the publication itself and everything surrounding it: encounters, surprises, discoveries…
The second part will focus on the allure of her writing, the reasons behind her choice of themes, and those aspects of her life that may seem little known to many, and which will be discussed by great connoisseurs of her work, those who came to know and enjoy it.
All of this will take place around a discussion that will aim to introduce this fun, vibrant, free woman, the master of her own destiny.

Carmen Martín Gaite (December 8, 1925, Salamanca – July 23, 2000, Madrid) received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1997. Medalla de Oro del Círculo de Bellas Artes for his enormous literary career. Alongside this event, el Círculo de Bellas Artes With its Young Poetry Roundtable, it highlights the importance of children's stories in a special session entitled Witches' Sabbath of Women Writers, within the programming dedicated to March 8th.
