After almost three years in operation, the CAE Spain Hub, the local working group of the main cultural network in Europe, Culture Action Europe (CAE), is organizing a meeting with key cultural agents to identify, highlight and outline common lines of action for the arts and culture in the current delicate European context.

El Círculo de Bellas Artes, Casa Europa[Name of organization], an active member of the CAE Spain Hub, will host this working meeting, as well as the mentoring visit that CAE is conducting to regional hubs across Europe. Natalie Giorgadze, director of CAE, will participate in the event along with representatives from the local cultural sector and key public and private institutions. The objective is to collectively analyze the current situation and challenges facing culture at the European level, share the advocacy actions led by CAE, and gather the opinions and proposals of relevant cultural stakeholders. All of this is aimed at enriching the process of developing the new European strategy for culture, Cultural Compass, which the European Commission is developing in conjunction with the budget negotiations up to 2030.

Among the priorities of this meeting is understanding what is being done by the various cultural sectors and identifying potential areas of synergy and collaboration in order to define how to join forces in the current context to ensure that our arts and cultures have respected cultural agents and remain vibrant and deeply rooted in the community. Furthermore, although this event is intended for predefined working groups, another objective is to organize a future meeting open to all cultural agents and members of the public interested in participating in this dynamic of influencing the artistic and cultural sphere from its grassroots level.
