The missing link of Jesuit pedagogy
As of the publication of The missing link of Jesuit pedagogyThis panel discussion, led by Alberto Núñez and also featuring Diego Garrocho, Pilar Úcar, Ignacio Amestoy, and Valerio Rocco, will reflect on the future of university education, following a line of inquiry already explored in recent years.el Círculo de Bellas Artes in relation to pedagogy, tradition and innovation.
This book immerses us in the rich educational tradition of the Society of Jesus, with its five centuries of history, and invites us to rediscover the key elements of the Ratio Studiorum, the cornerstone of Jesuit pedagogy. Building upon this heritage, Alberto Núñez Fernández, SJ, offers a fresh perspective adapted to current challenges, without losing the original spirit inspired by the Spiritual Exercises. With a holistic vision, this work seeks to update and renew the Jesuit educational legacy, remaining faithful to its charism and responding to the needs of the present.
Alberto Núñez Fernández, a Jesuit and professor in the Department of General Management and Strategy at ESADE, carries out most of his work within the network of Jesuit universities in Spain (UNIJES), combining his teaching and research activities with the pastoral and spiritual care he provides as a priest. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICAI), a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration, a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE), a Bachelor's degree in Theology, and a Master's degree in Biblical Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome.
