Flamenco has a powerful influence on Spain's cultural image abroad. It is considered one of the cultural expressions that define the country's identity, a fact recognized by the majority of Spaniards.

This undeniable cultural influence is accompanied by its significant role in the economy, employment, and social cohesion. However, the data in this report show that it is still underperforming. It thus becomes an asset capable of growth and of generating beneficial returns for Spanish society as a whole.

It is clear from the perceived impact that investment in Flamenco is needed in Spain, both by public administrations and private organizations. This cherished cultural asset, a World Heritage Site, can also be a significant social driver, capable of contributing to the overall economy and benefiting many individuals and families.

The day will begin with a welcome and introductory panel featuring Valerio Rocco, director ofel Círculo de Bellas ArtesCasilda Sánchez Varela, president of the Paco de Lucía Foundation; and Federico Linares, president of EY Spain and patron of the Paco de Lucía Foundationwho will present some of the main findings of the technical report prepared on the impact of flamenco, its biases, and perceptions. The session will be moderated by David Calzado, a journalist and exhibition curator specializing in flamenco.

Following this, a panel discussion will be held with flamenco artists and professionals who will offer their perspectives on the report's content, both in person and via video presentations. The day will also include a short flamenco performance and conclude with refreshments and an informal exchange among the attendees.
