IV Congress of Interdisciplinary Thought: Escapes, Exoduses and Ruptures

Deciphering present-day Europe

The Alliance of 4 Universities (Autonomous University of Madrid, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Pompeu Fabra University, Autonomous University of BarcelonaThis academic congress, organized by [Organization Name], proposes a selection of the main challenges that will shape the political and social agenda of the next decade in European societies. Speakers from the academic, journalistic, and cultural spheres will participate to share analyses, diagnoses, and solutions from these perspectives at three levels:

At this congress, the notion of escapes It takes as its reference point the individual's perspective on phenomena such as identity queer that so many debates are sparking in relation to the announced Trans Law and the divisions it has caused in feminism (with the participation of Berial Naranjo Martín, Carmen González Marín and Eduardo Fernández Rubiño), the feminization of power (with Máriam Martínez Bascuñán, Marina Subirats i Martori and Rita Maestre Fernández), the generation Millennial and their ironic cultural expressions with a strong aesthetic component (hand in hand with the philosophers) ernesto castro and Elizabeth Duval) or the development of the spirituality in different communities with a focus on conflicts between religion and secular states or on fundamentalisms (with the participation of experts such as Juan José Tamayo or Daniel Gamper). 

Another topic addressed at the congress will be the concept of exoduses, which refers to social phenomena of collective participation marked by the intensity of their current debate, such as conflict Kurdish-Turkish and the role of the European Union (with a dual journalistic perspective —Manuel Martorell— and academic perspective —Carmen Rodríguez—) or the ideological debate of the hand, its divisions and the course to follow in Spain (between the philosopher Clara Serra and the sociologist Cesar Rendueles). 

Finally, the congress will include the ruptures which represent the implications of international institutional changes in areas such as the role of nation-state in globalization and its related problems, focusing on social inequalities and the proliferation of the European far right (with experts such as Ignacio Molina or Esteban Hernández) or the challenges of Spanish territorial model (with academic and institutional speakers such as Elena Manzano or cultural figures such as the writer Sergio del Molino).
