The publishing house Ediciones del Oriente y del Mediterráneo invites us on a fascinating journey through Palestinian literature and its voices. Through a conversation between translator Ignacio Gutiérrez de Terán, journalists Teresa Aranguren and Razan Malash, and editor Inmaculada Jiménez Morell, we will explore Palestinian literature translated into Spanish, addressing the challenges and complexities of the translation profession from diverse perspectives.

The event will feature the participation of: Teresa Aranguren, journalist and writer specializing in the Middle East and the Balkans; Ignacio Gutiérrez de Terán, translator and professor in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM); Inmaculada Jiménez Morell, editor of Eastern and Mediterranean publications; and Razan Malash, journalist and writer with a master's degree in International Studies and a doctorate in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the UAM.

This round table discussion is part of the Culture for Peace: Spain – Palestine program , a cultural initiative organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with various institutions. Throughout March, April, and May, this program aims to showcase different aspects of Palestinian culture and highlight its points of connection and affinity with Spanish culture.
