Continuous reading of the Divine Comedy
El Círculo de Bellas Artes joins the celebration of the Seventh Centenary of the Death of Dante Alighieri with a series of activities, among which the following stand out: Continued Reading of the Divine Comedy, inside the program Madrid città/city of Dantesque, which is made up of a consortium of universities, Italian and Spanish cultural institutions, organizations, associations and companies.
This uninterrupted and complete reading of the Divine Comedy It will begin at 13:00 PM on the day September 14It coincides with the day Dante died and will be attended by personalities from the world of culture, politics and the general public.
Connections will be made with the Italian Cultural Institutes of Prague, Tirana, Montevideo and Lima; with the Italian State School of Athens and the Department of Humanistic Studies of the University of Eastern Piedmont, as well as with the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain, the Spanish Cultural Centers in Malabo, Paraguay and Costa Rica, the British International School of Bucharest, the Education Attaché of the Consulate General of Spain in Los Angeles, and the Cervantes Institutes of Manila and Beijing, among others.
This is one of more than thirty activities scheduled for this Dantean year in which el Círculo de Bellas Artes is a co-organizer. The CBA already offered the inauguration of Madrid Dantesca at the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid and, after this reading of the Divine Comedy, we will also have: the presentation of Abada's Divine Comedy, the lecture "The Comedy painted. Seven centuries of art”, by Juan Calatrava (October 5); “The Comedy. A conversation between Juan Barja and Patxi Lanceros (October 5); and the debate on “Dante’s Women” (November 15 and 16).
