Manuel Cruz (1951) is a renowned Spanish philosopher and Professor of Contemporary Philosophy at the University of Barcelona. His research interests focus on theories of subjectivity and the role of memory and forgetting in the contemporary world, as well as on the philosophies of action within various contemporary traditions. He has authored a substantial body of essays and, over the past twenty years, has played an active role in revitalizing debates within Spanish philosophy, contributing perspectives from European and American philosophical contexts.
