Contemporary female teachers
Coinciding with the celebration, in 2025, of the centenary of the building del Círculo de Bellas ArtesWe propose a series of thematic conversations featuring Spanish creators and researchers from different fields.
The goal is to consider the restoration of links, often unknown and even broken, between different generations of women in order to build, through dialogue, a genuine culture of democratic equality, which undoubtedly teaches how to inhabit the common space with an attitude of respect and freedom for all the people who inhabit it.
To that end, each session will pay tribute to a Spanish teacher who has developed her career and teaching career from the late 19th to the second half of the 20th century. All of them have made the classroom a world and the world a classroom; that is what unites them.
The aim, then, is to foster genealogical thinking that shares veiled, unknown works and biographies, or those approached from angles that continue to prevent the possibility of thinking about the world and the things of the world in another way: to think and to think about ourselves rationally and poetically in a clear allusion to María Zambrano.
Programme
Each session will begin with a tribute to a "teacher," which will set the theme and approach. Following this opening, a discussion will take place with two invited speakers and a third person acting as moderator.
